SPEVIGO

Infusion Therapy

SPEVIGO is a prescription medicine used to treat generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) flares in adults. SPEVIGO Infusion therapy is available at Optimum Care  Infusion Center.

About SPEVIGO® Infusion Therapy

SPEVIGO infusion therapy is the first and only FDA-approved medication prescribed to treat generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) flares in adults.

GPP is a rare, chronic skin disease that can cause unpredictable flares. Flares can appear suddenly or slowly and are characterized by red, painful pustules that often cover large parts of the body. A SPEVIGO infusion works to help block a source of inflammation that may cause GPP flares.

SPEVIGO® Infusion Therapy for Generalized Pustular Psoriasis

SPEVIGO infusion therapy works by preventing IL-36R pathways from improper signaling. It’s not fully known how reducing activity in the IL-36R pathway helps treat GPP flares, but research suggests that improper signaling leads to an inflammatory response that causes flaresSymptoms of GPP treated by SPEVIGO infusion therapy include:

  • Pustules
  • Dry, scaly skin
  • Fever
  • Fatigue
  • Skin itching and/or burning
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Muscle weakness
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Joint pain
