ILARIS is a prescription injection used to treat autoinflammatory Periodic Fever Syndromes, Still’s Disease, and Gout Flares. ILARIS injection therapy is available at Optimum Care Infusion Center.
ILARIS targets and neutralizes interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), a protein that plays a key role in causing inflammation in the body. In certain autoinflammatory diseases, IL-1β is overproduced, leading to excessive inflammation and related symptoms.
By binding to IL-1β, ILARIS prevents it from interacting with its receptors, thereby reducing the inflammatory response. This helps alleviate symptoms such as fever, pain, and swelling, and can improve the overall quality of life for patients with these conditions.
ILARIS Injection therapy is used to treat the following:
The out-of-pocket ILARIS cost will vary depending on your insurance coverage. If you have questions about your coverage, contact your insurance provider.
ILARIS Companion is a patient support program that provides a range of resources to help you throughout your ILARIS treatment journey. It includes the ILARIS Co-Pay Assistance Program, designed to make ILARIS more affordable for eligible patients with commercial insurance.
No patient should go without necessary treatment due to financial limitations. If you have questions about financial assistance opportunities, contact a member of our Optimum Care team.
If your provider prescribes ILARIS injection therapy, you will receive your ILARIS treatment by subcutaneous injection:
Your healthcare provider will test you for tuberculosis (TB) before starting ILARIS and monitor you for TB and other infections during and after treatment.
Common ILARIS side effects vary by condition, but may include cold symptoms, diarrhea, stomach pain, upper respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and injection-site reactions.
If you have any concerns about potential ILARIS side effects, contact your referring provider.
